About Us
Three youth (MIchael, Rion, Aaron) developed this web site on Positive Youth Development for the Oregon Commission on Children and Families. The young men spent countless hours researching, interviewing people, and writing about PYD--all while learning web development. The staff at Northwest Regional Educational Laboratory (NWREL) who assisted MIchael, Rion,and Aaron in the web development really appreciated their hard work, persistence, creativity, and youthfulness!
This web site is sponsored by the Oregon Commission on Children and Families--Positive Youth Development Initiative.
The goal of the initiative is to promote a Positive Youth Development approach in a variety of settings, including businesses, youth serving agencies, government, and communities.
